A little ABOUT my story, WHERE I’ve been & WHERE I’m going.

Hi there! I’m a writer from Michigan’s beautiful west coast and have been writing stories I wanted to read since I was just a kid. I’m privileged to write full-time, but I didn’t start out like this.

An extroverted, outgoing student, I studied Strategic Communications at my university, resisted the library at all costs, and took online classes during my in-person college classes. Being a writer was the furthest dream from my mind. Instead, I dreamed other dreams and spent as much time as I could on film sets with the media division.

But two interactions happened that changed the trajectory of my dreams. In a small cafe in my college town, sitting across from a bestselling author, I listened as she told me that I needed to up my writing game, but also, that I could pursue this. On set of a feature film late one night in Geneva, I realized the power of story wasn’t just a childhood dream, but a way of communication that I wanted to pursue. That’s when I began writing classes with a 21-time, New York Times bestselling author, signed with my first literary agent, was mentored by a bestselling author and editor, and wrote four books.

Today, I write for companies around the nation, work with a New York publishing house, and speak at conferences with keynote speakers Chris Fabry and Charles Martin (anyone love Kate Winslet’s starring role in his feature film?).

When I’m not writing, I’m longboarding, paddleboarding, rock climbing, involved in some form of music with my violin, or in a crowd of people living my best extrovert life. I love my family, my friends, Jesus, and long conversations over espresso or black coffee.

And if you want to drop me a note, I’d love to hear from you!
